About us

SelcoTek AS was established in 1999 following the purchase of the production rights of Ticon Plastindustrier AS. SelcoTek is dedicated to the further development of sandwich panels and industrial/offshore related products that the previous company had built their international reputation upon.

With 50 years of experience in our chosen area of fibreglass composites and sandwich panels we are able to take on almost any production assignment.
Our special strength is the ability to carry out specialised design and development work where a combination of different materials is required. We cover all aspects of manufacture including prototypes, one-off products and streamlined mass-production.

Our versatility allows us to adjust ourselves to our customers' requirements and technological demands. This has resulted in a customer-base that includes chassis manufacturers, on-shore and off-shore industrial companies, international Defence Departments, satellite communication and even artistic decoration.

The use of fibreglass composites has grown steadily over the later years and the area of application has widened considerably. At SelcoTek we have not only followed this development but in many cases have taken the lead. The experience gained from this has made us into a versatile and up-to-date partner for our customers.

Fibreglass composites are unique in that they can be made in virtually any shape that combines a superior strength/weight ratio with outstanding dynamic, corrosion resistant, electrical and insulating properties.

Our manufacturing facilities cover 3000 m2 divided between 2 workshops with 8 m high ceilings.

Our production technology includes vacuum-assisted, double-mould injection, membrane injection, hand lay-up, pressure-moulding, vacuum bag and vacuum-assisted adhesion of sandwich panels.

Development and improvement of our production processes is an on-going activity especially where economic viability and environmental issues are concerned.

Our combination of materials know-how, production versatility and an operative Quality Assurance system based on ISO 9001:2000 puts us in a position to offer our customers a total-quality concept. This is reflected in our list of references where major, long-term customers are included.
